Principle of UV application

Ultraviolet rays are part of the sun's rays. The principle of using ultraviolet rays to sterilize is to use its physical characteristics. When the ultraviolet lamp tube emits a light beam with a wavelength of 254 nm, this light can instantly generate light with the DNA of the life center of single-celled organisms such as bacteria. The chemical reaction causes the bacteria to die or lose their ability to reproduce.

 

Application of UV ultraviolet lamp group

It can be used for disinfection and sterilization of biochemical research, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, water treatment, hospitals, clinics, object surfaces, and three-dimensional spaces.

Installation Notes:

1. Unscrew the nuts at both ends of the steel pipe.

2. Take out the quartz glass tube and slowly put it into the steel pipe. After seeing the quartz glass tube passing through the steel pipe, install the sealing ring before screwing on the nuts at both ends, and tighten it with force. Do not use tools to avoid crushing. Quartz glass tube.

3. If it is installed vertically, please adopt the method of low water inlet and high water outlet to slow down the water flow speed and increase the effect of ultraviolet radiation.

4. If the water flow is too fast, please install a flow restrictor.

5. If the raw water turbidity is too high, it will affect the UV penetration ability and reduce the sterilization effect. It is recommended to add a pre-filter.

6. Either one end of the inlet/outlet is connected to the water source, and the other end is connected to the point of use to check whether there is any water leakage. After confirming that everything is normal, install the UV lamp tube, and then plug in the plug to send electricity after confirming that it is firmly inserted.

7. Do not pull out the lamp after connecting to the power supply, and never look directly at it with the naked eye.

8. If used in conjunction with a normally closed solenoid valve, please install the device at the water inlet.

9. When installing the quartz glass tube and UV lamp, wipe them clean to avoid affecting the irradiation intensity

 

Precautions:

1. Unless it is used in pure water purification equipment, please take out the quartz tube three months after installation to check whether there is scaling on the surface, and determine the time for cleaning the quartz tube.

2. If the scale is not serious, it can be washed with neutral soap and heated water. If it cannot be removed with soap, a moderate acid (such as citric acid) must be used.

3. If the UV lamp tube is damaged or the lamp tube connector falls off, the ballast will sound an alarm

 

Safe use range

1. Use pressure limit: 125psi.

2. Use temperature limit: 2℃-70℃.

3. The water source with dirty water will block the penetration ability of ultraviolet radiation. The clearer the water quality, the better the UV sterilization ability.

 

Regular maintenance and replacement

1. UV lamp tube-The service life of normal lighting operation is: 8000 ~ 9000 Hour (hours), and the guaranteed efficiency is 100% ~ 60%.
After running the lamp, the life of the lamp (illumination dose) will gradually decrease due to the accumulation of use time. When it expires, a new UV lamp must be replaced to ensure the operating efficiency of the lamp. The original factory recommends the timing of replacing the lamp. For: 8000 hours/9000 hours period, you must replace a new UV ultraviolet lamp to ensure the lighting efficiency of the UV ultraviolet lamp, thereby ensuring the operating life of the machine.

2. Quartz sleeve -The operating life of the quartz sleeve is 16,000 hours. Because the quartz sleeve is immersed in water for a long time and exposed to ultraviolet and UV light for a long time, the material of the quartz sleeve will change and the hardness of the quartz glass will be affected. If it is fragile, there will be the risk of breaking the tube, and the white fog-like product of oxidation phenomenon will also be produced in the tube wall of the quartz tube, which will inevitably affect the light transmittance of the quartz tube. Under the operating environment, the efficiency of the ultraviolet UV lamp cannot be exerted, which will affect the quality of ultrapure water, and cannot achieve the water quality required by users.
